Branding, Bottle Design and Advertising Campaign

Objective
To create a brand identity for Blavod (Amalgam of ‘Black’ and ‘Vodka’) and design the bottle As well as create an eye catching ad campaign for a unique black vodka. Distilled from premium grain vodka, Blavod created the world’s first black vodka.
Activity
The ad campaign focussed on ‘black not white’ a reference to most spirits, particularly vodka appearing as clear or ‘white’. Blavod is coloured by infusions from the black Catechu (an extract from the acacia genus). The subtle fusion of triple distilled English grain vodka with the South East Asian herb black catechu created a smooth tasting premium vodka with a completely new look. The distinct colour of the vodka gave rise to a new range of cocktails around the world, such as ‘Black Widow’ and ‘Graveyard Ghost’.
Result
Within 1 year following launch Blavod Premium Vodka enjoyed sales in 11 countries around the world with sales topping £2m sales continued to climb and now Blavod is a strong seller in 31 countries worldwide.
