Objective

To promote the sales of Birds’ 100 year old recipe for walnut creams using Californa walnuts to celebrate Birds’ centenary. The Garden has been working with Birds of Derby since 2019 and recently the popular chain was also awarded the prestigious ‘Bakery Retailer of the Year’ award at a UK Bakery awards ceremony in London.

Activity

CWC partnered once again with Birds of Derby to promote the new Cappuccino flavour of their original walnut creams throughout their 63 stores throughout the Midlands in the UK. The original recipe was created back in 1919 and then relaunched during their centenary year in 2020. The deliverables included POS materials and promotional screens featuring the product in all 65 Birds stores.

Result

The re-launch of the product once again created an enthusiastic response from Birds customers and now around 4,000 walnut creams are sold a week.
